Controlling Kite Energy

Allister Furey at University of Sussex is making some amazing advances in kite energy control algorithms.   His latest paper has some fascinating simulation results.  I can’t wait to try his controllers with our latest prototype.

Allister also has some cool video of their robotic kite flyer on YouTube.  This is a joystick operated version, but they hope to have the software controllers up and running by this spring.
